I do always make voice and video chatting using the popular programs; Windows Live, Yahoo! Messenger and Skype. Since my ISP, Orange, might give me crappy speeds from time to time, I do get a lot of drops and god knows what. So my friend and I use Gmail a lot and once we're both checking our inbox at the same time I could see a mark right next to his name that he's online, we chatted a little from inside our inbox and then we decided to give the voice chat a shot! It worked like magic, really just as normal phone call. Really impressive. And then the video call was also a pleasant surprise.
